Going, Going, Gone!
It's here! The Retiring List! The most popular items (aka quickest to sell out) are any of the 2014-2016 In Color products (refill inks/markers/paper). If you need any of those to complete projects, don't wait! If there were any stamps you were holding off on getting and they're on this list, don't wait any longer!
*Due to high demand for retiring stamps, retiring stamps will be produced until May 22 (not accessories, which are only while supplies last).

Botanical Blooms - 2016 Occasions Catalogue Sneak Peek!
The 2016 Occasions Catalogue will soon be live - and this card is made with one of my favourite sets in the new catalogue, the Botanical Blooms Photopolymer set. Of course, the awesome coordinating Framelits might have skewed it, since I'm a sucker for all things Big Shot related.. This stamp set is available in a bundle with the Framelits and the coordinating Designer Series Paper to save you 15%, beginning January 5!

Cookies For You!
The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits dies make a super cute little bag. Instead of just making a flat bag, I cut out two of the large bag pieces and stuck them together to make more of a gift bag (it needed to hold some cookies!)
And I couldn't resist using my old reliable retired Scentsational Season gingerbread man to help embellish the package:

Thinking Ahead to Spring: Flower Patch
Plans are underway for the Spring Stamp-a-Stack. I'm looking for some feedback to help determine the best date for this class, and the types of cards we make. Which date suits you better: April 11 or April 25? Complete this survey (which closes tomorrow, Jan 31) to submit your vote. I'm also doing a draw for those who complete the survey :)
And while we're thinking ahead to spring, I thought I'd share this card using the very fun Flower Patch stamp set (and coordinating Framelits):
While I used the Big Shot for the embossing folder, it's worth noting that the same impressions can be made with the (much less expensive) Texture Boutique Machine, which is part of this week's Weekly Deals along with a number of other embossing folders!

Have you had a chance to check out the Sale-A-Bration items you can earn with every $60 purchase? Which is your favourite item?

Snowy Christmas Greetings - FMS166
I decided to use a sketch to help me with today's card. I also used the Endless Wishes stamp set again - I think it's my second favourite Christmas stamp set this year! The baker's twine that I used came from the November Paper Pumpkin kit - I love that it's white! Maybe it'll make its way to the 2015-2016 annual catalogue? One can hope!

Snowflake Thinlit Tips
Some of my most favourite Stampin' Up! products are tools - I love punches, framelits, the punch boards, etc. So when I saw the Snowflake Thinlit die in the Holiday Catalogue, I knew I had to have it. I've played with it many times, and while sometimes it's hard to remove small bits of paper from it (especially from the very delicate pieces), I love it!
I have a three tips for this card: The first is to put a sheet of wax paper between the die and your paper. It will make removing those delicate pieces a breeze! The second tip is that if you want to extend your flip card to give some writing room, you should use a regular sized card base (8.5" x 5.25"). And lastly, if you put a little bit of Tombow on the punched scallop oval and let it dry, it will be repositionable. This means that you can use it to keep the card closed (and still be able to open it)!

Lovely As A Tree - Glitter Reflection
This card is more of a wintry card than a Christmas card, and I just love the glittery landscape!
To make the reflection, I first punched a couple circles out of post-it notes and added them to the background paper. Then I lightly sponged some ink over the whole sheet.

To make the reflection, I first punched a couple circles out of post-it notes and added them to the background paper. Then I lightly sponged some ink over the whole sheet.
Then I stamped Lovely As a Tree over the moon - and stamped a second image shifted to the right (since the stamp isn't wide enough to cover the full landscape).
Now comes the fun part - glitter! I put some Crystal Effects along the horizon, under each of the trees, and all across the bottom half of the background. I "lightly" sprinkled the glitter on the paper (which translates to: glitter went everywhere!) For the reflection, I stamped the trees onto wax paper and pressed it right onto the wet Crystal Effects/glittery section of the card. I pressed the image into the Crystal Effects and left it there to dry. The next morning, I peeled the wax paper off, and the result was beautiful!
