I've really enjoyed making the snowflake background on many cards this year … and here it is again! I also love the many combinations of greetings that can be made from the Endless Wishes set!
For this card, I also cut a couple of the trees out of the die in the Snowflake Thinlit set, and then embossed them with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder to give them a little extra detail.

I was supposed to post this card yesterday to welcome in Winter, but it seems like I missed the first day of Winter by a day. The days are now starting to get longer again :) Hooray! Welcome Winter!
To make the 'shaker' part of this card, I used a clear envelope and just cut it (on the side that opens) at 3.5". Then you add in your sequins and seal it back up using Sticky Strip. I also added some extra snowflakes on the white piece I added to the interior of the card, just for some extra pizzazz.

This card is based on a few similar cards that I've seen while browsing the Internet this year, particularly this one.
I'm not sure whether it was the clever use of the Bird Punch, or the Hardwood background stamp as a fence that attracted me to it, but I had to recreate it!
After stamping the pine tree/needles, I wanted to add in some snowflakes, but I knew they'd barely show up if I just inked them … so I heat embossed them in white. I also liked the idea of putting in a notch along the fence top … that was just done freehand with scissors. Of course, it then begged for some glitter to represent a bit of icy snow. For the greeting, I used the greeting from last November's Paper Pumpkin kit.

I decided to use a sketch to help me with today's card. I also used the Endless Wishes stamp set again - I think it's my second favourite Christmas stamp set this year! The baker's twine that I used came from the November Paper Pumpkin kit - I love that it's white! Maybe it'll make its way to the 2015-2016 annual catalogue? One can hope!
