Mystery Stamping: Way to Goat

Over on my Facebook page this past weekend, I issued a Mystery Stamping Challenge where I gave a supply list and wanted to see what you could make with the suggested supplies.

It was a fun challenge to see what everyone was able to come up with using the same supply list and their own imagination and I just might do it again!

I didn't think it was fair to a challenge though without taking it myself, so I played along too!

Playing with these goats was something I have been putting off, but they're just too cute and make me giggle just a bit. And why not have fun, right?!
I hope you play along next time!

If you are in Canada and do not have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would be thrilled to help you get started ordering your favourite supplies. Whether you are shopping as a customer, wish to host your own virtual workshop, or are interested in joining my team to buy your own craft supplies at a discount or as a small business, I am happy to help you out!

And don't forget that from now until February 28, for every $60 and $120 you spend, you’ll earn an exclusive Sale-A-Bration item for free! Depending on the amount you spend, you’ll be able to mix ‘n’ match the Sale-A-Bration items you earn. The Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper used on my project is one of the freebies available to choose from when you spend $60.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop: Dragonfly Thanks

Hello and Welcome to our January Paper Crafting Blog Hop, showcasing projects focused on products in the January-June mini catalogue. Our group of Global Demonstrators are hopping ‘round the world to bring you inspiration using Stampin' Up! coordinating products.

For my project, I've created a simple design featuring one of the Sale-A-Bration freebies (the Oh-So-Ombre paper) as well as the new Dragonfly Garden stamp (and coordinating punch!) It's a simple design that allows several of the coordinating papers to be featured.

If you have just joined me from Sue's blog or as one of my followers, I’m so happy you stopped by!

Following the Ombre feel of the paper, I started playing with the ink on the dragonfly stamp to add in a little more interest to the dragonfly itself. To get this look, I first inked it in Rococo Rose, and then traced overtop with a Blackberry Bliss marker on its abdomen and head. I randomly swiped the marker across the wings, and none of my stamped images came out exactly the same! And who can resist glitter? To add a little sparkle, I also gave a shimmery feel using Wink of Stella. I think it's a perfect touch!

I hope you enjoyed my project :) Thank you for joining me this month! Now click on the image below to hop to Terri's blog to see what fun project she designed.

Dress Up Your Pet Day - All About Love

Today is National 'Dress Up Your Pet Day' and it's also one month ahead of Valentines Day. And because of that (its proximity to Valentines Day), I'm hopping with some other demonstrators around the world to celebrate love.

I also thought this is a great way to combine the two themes and share my Darling Donkey project with a dressed up donkey ;)

Dress Up Your Pet Day was started not just to have fun with your pets, but also to support the pet fashion community in a fun way. Personally, I think it's a good opportunity to dress up your Pampered Pets, Darling Donkeys, or other animal stamps with hats, sweaters, or other fashion accessories, don't you think? :D

To put the flower crown on the Darling Donkey, I created a mask. It was also a perfect time to use the Stamparatus to ensure that the placement of all stamp layers and the mask were perfectly placed.

To create the mask, I first stamped the flower image onto a sticky note (making sure that it was mostly on the actual sticky part). Then I fussy cut the stamped image out.

I then determined exactly where I wanted the flower crown to lay, and used the Stamparatus to place the sticky note onto the white cardstock. Once that was in place, I could stamp the donkey. And then lastly, I lifted the sticky note off before stamping the last layer (the flower crown).

Now it’s time to hop around and stop by the rest of my fellow demonstrators' blogs to see some more inspiration celebrating love.
