Merry Christmas Tree

I love how Carol Ann Steeves used Lovely as a Tree to build up her pine tree to be a lot larger than just the confines of the usual card size. Love the simplicity of this card, and how beautiful it is!

Simple and Elegant Lovely As A Tree

I love how Lovely As As a Tree can be used in so many different ways and always be a different result. For this card, I masked the moon, just like I did here. I sponged all around the post-it note and then stamped 2 sets of the trees… and added glitter ;) I used the retired Peaceful Season stamp set for the greeting… simple and elegant.

Lovely As A Tree - Glitter Reflection

This card is more of a wintry card than a Christmas card, and I just love the glittery landscape!
To make the reflection, I first punched a couple circles out of post-it notes and added them to the background paper. Then I lightly sponged  some ink over the whole sheet.

Then I stamped Lovely As a Tree over the moon - and stamped a second image shifted to the right (since the stamp isn't wide enough to cover the full landscape).
Now comes the fun part - glitter! I put some Crystal Effects along the horizon, under each of the trees, and all across the bottom half of the background. I "lightly" sprinkled the glitter on the paper (which translates to: glitter went everywhere!) For the reflection, I stamped the trees onto wax paper and pressed it right onto the wet Crystal Effects/glittery section of the card. I pressed the image into the Crystal Effects and left it there to dry. The next morning, I peeled the wax paper off, and the result was beautiful!

Photo Inspiration - FMS163

You know you're a stamper when …  Earlier this week, I had snapped a photo of a very pretty wintry sunrise and it made me think almost immediately of Lovely As a Tree. I wondered if I'd be able to recreate the landscape with ink. I had fun with post-it notes and sponging and think I came pretty close!

Of course, I did use a sketch to help me put it together. I used this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch - and here's the sunrise photo too :)

Also note - Online Extravaganza starts on Monday with select items and bundles at discounted prices (including the Blushing Bride Chevron ribbon I used above). There will be limited-time doorbusters on the first and last days of the sale which lasts from November 24 through December 2, or while supplies last. Learn more about these deals and discover which products are going on sale here.

Spritzed Lovely as a Tree Meets Paper Pumpkin

Just a quick reminder that today is the last chance to take part in the Holiday Sale - and it's ending with another 24 hours sale on selected products. View the flyer for the full list. The following are 30% off until midnight tonight:

And for today's inspiration ... this card is one we made yesterday at the Stamp-A-Stack. I hope you like it as much as they did!

I used the 2nd and 3rd generation stamps of Lovely As A Tree to give some depth and dimension... as well as the both the Distress Tool around the top 'half', and the Spritzer for some extra interest. I had put about 4 drops of the Illuminate refill and just one drop of Island Indigo. And I just love the sentiment that came with this past month's Paper Pumpkin!

Supplies used to make this card:
Paper -Whisper White 8-1/2X11 Card Stock, Pool Party 8-1/2 X 11 Card Stock
