Oval Accent Bigz Die challenge

One of the new dies in the 2012-2013 Catalogue is the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die. I had my eye on this die right from the first time I saw it - as I envisioned it to be a great addition to a scrapbook layout - for journalling, or just as an accent.

Since it requires a paper 4.25 x 5.5 for cutting, it will pretty much take up a whole card front.  I wasn't sure exactly if it would be suitable for cards, especially in its entirety ... so I challenged myself to go ahead and try it out.  I think it works ... thoughts?

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Petite Pairs
Ink: Primrose Petals
Paper: Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals, Whisper White, Patio Party DSP
Tools: Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die, 2" Circle punch, Blossom Party Die, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
Other: Basic Pearl

Now I just have to actually make that scrapbook layout ... ;)
Happy Stamping!

FMS23 Sketch Challenge - Raining Flowers

I've been inspired to play along with some Sketch Challenges recently, but I haven't posted any until today.  For this card, I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Here's the challenge sketch and what I came up with:

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Language of Friendship, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry (retired)
Markers: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Paper: Rich Razzleberry DSP from Brights collection, Whisper White, Crushed Curry (retired)
Tools: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Boho Blossoms punch
Accessories: Crushed Curry ribbon (retired)

I'm not sure why the greeting looks so crooked in the photo - will have to try to get a better photo next time.  The Language of Friendship stamp set that I used on the punched flowers at the bottom is available as a Free Sale-A-Bration item when you spend $60 on product until March 31st.  Contact me to place your order today!
