Warm Wishes
I'm sending out warm wishes tonight as we have (finally) hit a cold-ish day ... and it's snowing!! This card was designed by Samantha Forrest and I just love it! I love the snowshoes and the toboggan in this stamp set so much. And it's a great use of the label framelit, which I seem to have forgotten all about with all the new dies recently! Keep warm :)

Hedgehogs on a Hardwood Sled
This cute sled was made with the Hardwood background stamp and inspired by this card made by Candee. I love the hedgehogs from last year's Best of Winter stamp set!

Seasons Greetings!
Ice storms, snow, and cold weather are all here for the next little while ... with the first day of winter yesterday. That means we're now starting to get more and more daylight each day! It's my favourite time of the year!
Today's card, albeit fairly late, is one of the favourites I've made this year - it was inspired by one I saw online (and can't remember where!) I especially love the extra detail added to the ornament by embossing it after cutting it out :)

Ink: Island Indigo
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents, Whisper White 5/8 Inch Organza Ribbon

Use Your Scraps as a Feature Element!
If you've ever cut out a label, or any other framelit shape, and thought that the paper you cut it out of shouldn't be wasted, then today's card is for you! This one came together using scraps, so it's super simple. Use that 'negative space' to be a feature element.

Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler

Happy Christmas Hedgehogs - MOJO324
I'm really loving the Best of Snow stamp set; these hedgehogs are so cute, I can't resist them! Today's card was done for the MojoMonday challenge. I used washi tape for the banners - it's so easy to just tear off a little strip and then snip the ends with a square punch (or scissors).
Supplies used -
Stamps: Best Of Snow, More Merry Messages
Ink: Early Espresso
Markers: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso Core'dinations(retired)

Gnome more Occasions Mini
...but some items are still available. I 'gnome' that wasn't very funny, but I couldn't resist ... Today is the last day of the Occasions mini and this cute gnome set is quite possibly not going to be in the new catalogue, so I thought I'd do up a quick card to show him off one last time. Isn't he cute?
You have until midnight tonight to place an order for this catalogue ... however, some of the products will be available up until the new 2012-2013 catalogue. Click here for this list. Not sure if this is a 'sneak peek' at some of the products that will be in the new catalogue??

Apothecary Art - FMS32
Well here we are at the end of April - there's just one day left of the Occasions Mini catalogue. I'm featuring the Apothecary Art set (and the Labels Framelits dies) for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. They're my favourite 2 products out of the Mini ... I hope to see them both again soon in the new 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue ...

While playing around with these colours, I noticed that Concord Crush is pretty much the same colour as my sons' football teams! Perhaps since practice starts this week, I was more attuned to it? I think I'll have to stock up on more of it now since it is retiring at the end of May!
Supplies used for my card:
Stamps: Apothecary Art
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Marker: Concord Crush
Paper: Concord Crush, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, 2010-2012 In Colors DSP
Tools: Labels Framelits dies, Pennant punch (to make the banner)
Other: Basic Rhinestones and Stampin' Dimensionals
Happy Stampin'

I did stretch my card out instead of making it a square. I also tried a new technique, which you can only see if you look closely ... I stamped the main image in Wisteria Wonder and then added little highlights to the flowers with my Concord Crush marker to add some shading and dimension. I'll have to try again with other colours to see if it's more noticeable.

Happy Easter Peeps
Hope you're having a great Easter weekend ... I saw some of these 'peeps' made by Tami White and was inspired to play. They're made with the Bird builder punch and you have to cut off the bird's tail - or it sticks out too far from the egg. The eggs were made with the large oval punch and then cut free handed. To make the shaded frame, I cut the 2nd largest Labels Framelit die and then used it as a mask ... then I sponged Crumb Cake ink around it :)
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake
Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, 2010-2012 In Colour DSP
Tools: Bird builder punch, Large oval punch, Labels Framelits die
Other: Sponge, googly eyes
