First Edition Flower - MOJO233

I got really inky making this card - and I had fun!  I know I'm having a successful creative session when I've got ink up to my elbows :D

The inspiration for this card came first from MojoMonday's sketch 233.  The other bit of inspiration came from this awesome flower created on this blog.  I changed up the flower a bit, primarily because I didn't want to cut up an old book - but also since I wanted to use my First Edition DSP.

To make the flower, first punch out 10 scalloped circles. Before I stacked them, I spread them out on my table and sprayed some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz on them to give a little glimmer.  This also softened up the paper to help in the scrunching of the flower as the DSP is a little bit thicker than the book pages that she used.

I also used my Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole in the centre of the flower, but it didn't reach right to the centre, so I've offset every other layer of the scallops.  Here's the sketch and a front view of my interpretation:
I just love the Fresh Vintage stamp from SAB this year - it looks so sharp when coloured in like I've done here.
