Custom Warhawks Stamp - Undefined Stamp Carving Kit

A couple weeks ago, I told you about the new Undefined stamp carving kit, so now I'll show you what I've made (and how to make it)!
Undefined tutorial: Warhawk stamp carving

First, select an image that you'd like to have as a stamp (this might end up being the hardest part)!  You can freehand design something if you're artsy that way, or if there's a team logo, or some other image you see regularly, use that.  Just print the image the size you'd like for your stamp and then trace over it in pencil.

Next, flip over the paper and place it on the rubber.  Then etch your pencil across the drawing on the reverse side.

Once your image has been transferred onto the rubber, you can begin carving.  There are two tools that come with the set: one is a V shaped tool and the second is U shaped.  The V shaped tool is for smaller areas and finer detail as it doesn't carve as deep.  You'll want to carve gently all the way around the edges of your image to define it.

Once you've carved all the way around the interior and the exterior edges of the image, you'll want to start clearing out more of the rubber with the U shaped tool. Remember that the pencil marks you've made are the part of the stamp you want to preserve (not carve). Take your time since once you've carved it, the rubber is gone!

Once you've carved out the whole image, you should cut around the base of the stamp to leave a smaller rubber edge around your finished image.

Your last step is to stamp your image on your wood block before you mount it.  It's best to stamp it in Staz-On ink, but don't smudge it like I did ;)  Once it's been mounted, stamp your image on paper and enjoy!
