Star Framelit Wreath

Today's "card" comes from with the Star Framelits. First I traced a plate to get a large green circle as my background that I could build on - I did that just so that if there was a section that didn't get covered completely, that it wouldn't show up as a funny colour. Then I cut several smaller stars in green to make up that background layer.

That was when the real fun started - I cut many more larger stars in the Designer Series Paper and set about arranging (and re-arranging!) until I was happy with the design. Before sticking them down, I scored each star to make it 3D. This is the labour intensive part, but it's totally worth it!. I scored from the tips to the centre and then flipped over the star to do the indented tip to the centre in the opposite direction. (Each star is scored 10 times).

Then I used the hot glue gun to get everything to stay where I wanted it...and added some extra embellishments, like buttons, brads, etc.

Supplies Used:
Stars Framelits Dies, Champagne Glimmer Paper Candelight Christmas Designer Series Paper, Lucky Limeade Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Ribbon, various retired buttons and brads.
